Exam applications and payments are to be made via your club and state renmei
Apply for an AKR Dan Examination

Application to be examined for a Kendo, Iaido or Jodo Dan grade at a National Grading Exam conducted by the Australian Kendo Renmei.

Please note that this is for AKR National Dan Exams only. Kyu grade exams are conducted by state affiliates, who have their own procedures.

Applicants must complete an AKR Grading Exam Application form then submit it their club/dojo chief instructor for approval: If approved, the club/dojo compiles all their club members details into a supplied spreadsheet, then send that with payment in full to the relevant state association. The state association compiles all their states applicants into one supplied spreadsheet, then sends the applicant list and payment in full for the state to the AKR.

12/01/2017 Applications cut-off date from clubs to states
22/01/2017 Applications from states close with AKR Exec. Committee. Late applications shall not be considered
21/02/2017 Date of Iaido and Jodo Shinsa
