AIJSC DINNER – 7:00 pm Saturday 18 February 2017

AIJSC DINNER – 7:00 pm Saturday 18 February 2017.

RSVP will be needed prior to close of business on Tuesday 14 February. (See below)

A dinner to complement the 2017 AIJSC will now be held. This will be a good opportunity to socialise with fellow iaido and jodo people and catch up with old and new friends.

The Seminar Dinner will be held in the upstairs room at Errols Restaurant, 69-71 Errol Street North Melbourne, VIC 3051. Map. 7:00 to 10:30 pm.

Cost is $50 per head for three courses of entrée, main course and dessert. There will be a variety of food, plus any food preferences expressed at RSVP time, will be accommodated. Drinks are an extra cost and will be available from the bar in our function room.

Due to limited space and to reserve your seat at the dinner, your RSVP will be needed prior to close of business on Tuesday 14 February.

Note that as we are limited to 60 people, unfortunately we may not be able to fit everyone in, so don’t be late and miss out. First come – first served. If you miss out, your $50 will be returned. The restaurant is also open downstairs, so you could eat al-la-carte at your cost, there if you wish.

Please RSVP by paying $50 for each person attending the dinner by EFT to the AKR bank account. In the reference field – include your NAME. If you have no food restrictions, that’s all you need to do. If you have a food restriction or preference, please also include one of the following codes in the reference field; SA = seafood allergy; VE = vegan; V = vegetarian.

EFT and RSVP to –

Australian Kendo Renmei Bank account: BSB 033157; Account 367426.

Payment of $50 per head for this dinner is additional to the seminar fee.

Note that a major event, “WhiteNight”, is scheduled for the city area on this night, so there may be traffic disruption in the city, but our dinner venue is well away from that.

Transport to the dinner venue

Two tram routes, the 50, West Coburg – City Road, South Melbourne route and the 57, West Maribyrnong – Elizabeth Street/Melbourne Central Station route, both pass the restaurant. Get off at stop number 12, the North Melbourne Town Hall, then it’s 20 metres to Errols. Frequency is expected to be about 6-8 minutes. A myki travel card is required. Trams, trains and buses will then run all night, but at reduced frequency after 1:00 am.

Car parking

There is ample parking in Errol Street and nearby streets.
